  1. Letter to Srila Prabhupada, Sri Guru Maharaja
  2. Do to Sri Jashomatinandana Das Adhikary prabhu

1. Srila Prabhupada:

Prostrations unto thee with my humble obeisances at your lotus feet. I had written a letter to you from this place on dt............. Your Divine grace might have received that letter. But as ill luck would have it, this servant of yours has failed to receive any letter from you as a token of your blessings yet. Hence, this humble servant cannot get peace as a result of which often he feels himself very much perturbed.

Now I am thinking of my place and your Divine Grace desire. Mayapur as well as Bombay your Divine Grace has told of Orissa centre and every time you have told me of going to Orissa and to do preaching work there. At Bombay you have told me to translate your works in Oriya, when I will be posted in Orissa for your seva. Therefore, very often the picture of Orissa i.e. that of the devotees of Orissa comes to my mind and makes me feel an intense feeling to go to Orissa for rendering devotional services there for your satisfaction. Thereby this servant will be able to get some transcendental peace. Upto now I did some translation in Hindi as well as did some seva in respect of your books in Hindi. But I could not get transcendental satisfaction or peace, that my heart hankers after.

Now it is my prayer to your lotus feet when that auspicious day will come that I will go to Orissa for rendering devotional services there for for satisfaction. Very clearly I have heard that you have said at Bombay that Lord Krishna wants that I will go to Orissa and translate for books in Oriya for the benifits of the devotees of Orissa. Now kindly allow me to do that seva. I acknowledge that my mother-tongue is not Hindi and I also am not proficient in Hindi to translate your works in Hindi. Only out of my love and some practice I was doing seva but when Sri Jashomatinandana Das Prabhu remarked that my Hindi was not good and correct as well my enthusiasm in translating your works in Hindi diminished.

Hence it is my prayer unto you to allow me to go to Orissa at an early date & translate your works in Oriya. Moreover, I may be excused to request you to give me Sanyas Diksha before I will be leaving for Orissa for seva. This is my constant prayer to you. Kindly shower your blessings on me that I will be able to render devotional service with pure love and upto the best satisfaction of your Divine Grace.

Anticipating a sharp reply from your pen I remain.
