Gour Govinda Swami: What is life's food? Soul's food?
Devotee: Soul's food? Uh, chanting Hare Krishna. Chanting Hare Krishna, you know?
Gour Govinda Swami: You are toiling so hard for making arrangement food for the body. Isn't it? Toiling as an ass toiling hard for money, more and more and more money. Make nice arrangements of eating, sleeping, depending, and mating. That's what you are. Isn't it? Paying so much tax for this electricity. Isn't it? Are you paying tax for sunlight? No. (laughs) I never pay tax for sunlight. Since I will be paying so much tax for this, just for the body. Is it difficult to arrange food for soul?
Devotee: Any difficulty?
Gour Govinda Swami: No difficulty at all. But we have so much difficulty, so much hard labor for making arrangement food for the body. But there is no difficulty at all to make some arrangement for food for the soul, but you are not doing that. Yeah. If you don't give food to the soul, what will happen to the soul? If you want to give food to the body, body will be weak, skinny. Isn't it? If you want to give food to the soul, then what will happen to the soul? Yeah.
Devotee: Be weak. (laughs)
Gour Govinda Swami: Soul also become weak. Yeah. Then leave the body. (laughs) Then body is a clump of dead matters, nothing else. What value body has? There's no difficulty at all. No hard labor at all. You understand? Still, we are so callous. We're not making those arrangements. I'm not making any effort to at least to give food to the soul. That is Krishna Katha. Krishna Katha is food for the soul. You follow? Nobody pay tax for it. No hard labor is required. It is free. Like sun light. You have to give your life. You have to give your life. Yes, that's right. It's not free. That's life. That's the real life. Krishna katha, is real life. Food for the soul is real life. You understand? Om. And it, it, it will go on any moment, any place, any time. You understand? But there is some time, place and circumstances, restrictions for this arrangement food for the body, but no such restriction is there. Om. namnam akari bahudha nija-sarva-shaktis tatrarpita niyamitah smarane na kalah etadrishi tava kripa bhagavan mamapi durdaivam idrisham ihajani nanuragaha, sikastakam, Mahaprabhu says. Oh, Lord, you are so merciful. You give everything your holy name. And also, you have wiped out all the barriers. No restrictions in chanting holy name, any time, any place, any moment, any circumstance, one may chant. Chant Hare Krishna. But I am such a wreched devotee, so rascall, that I cannot develop taste for, uh, interest for it alone, just for your taste. The mercy is there, But I cannot have it. Hmm. Cannot have it. So callous. We are so callous. We say this, mercy is hanging like ropes. Just causeless mercy. But you cannot catch it up. Hmm. We are so callous that it is dangling before you, still you cannot catch it. (laughs) You are so callous. One must ... one should be conscious and intelligent. Oh. And catch all the mercy. Get the mercy. That mercy is causeless. No cause. It's causeless mercy. All right. Thank you. Nice to meet you. May you all receive the mercy of Guru Gauranga, causeless mercy.
